Programs

Horizon Campus (Horizon), Sri Lanka

Offerings for AIT-Horizon Unified Program:

• This Unified Program will be spread over a minimum

of 5.5 years.

• The Bachelor Degree will be awarded by Horizon,

while the Master Degree will be awarded by AIT.

• Students will spend first 4 years at Horizon for their

Bachelor courses and continue the Masters part of the

program in AIT for 1.5 years (3 semesters and 1 inter-

semester)

Offerings for Horizon - Siam University - AIT Tripartite Unified

Program:

• This Unified Program will be of minimum 5.5 years duration. The pathways for degree

completion and progression to Masters will be twofold.

• In the TVEC approved HND programme, the, students will spend the first six (6) semesters at

Horizon for the program. This will be recognized by SIAM University on a credit transfer and

Students will come to Siam University for two 2 semesters to complete the bachelor’s studies

and eligible students can proceed to AIT to continue the master’s program for 1.5 years.

• Requirements for Bachelor’s Admissions:

• Admissions to Bachelor’s programs are based on the standard competitive admission

criteria set by Horizon.

Entry Criteria is as follows:

• Computing: Passes in three subjects (in any subject stream) at the G.C.E. Advanced Level

Examination (Sri Lanka / London or equivalent) in one and the same sitting OR 5 Passes in

GCE Ordinary Level Examination (Sri Lanka/London or equivalent) including Credit Passes

for Mathematics and English PLUS Passing of Horizon Bridging course.

• Business: Passes in three subjects (in any subject stream) at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level)

Examination (Sri Lanka / London or equivalent) in one and the same sitting OR 5 Passes in

GCE Ordinary Level Examination (Sri Lanka/London or equivalent) including Credit Passes

for Mathematics and English PLUS Passing of Horizon Bridging course.

• Engineering: Minimum of three “S” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Local) in the Physical

Science Stream (Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in one and the same

sitting OR Minimum of three “C” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Cambridge, Edexcel or

equivalent) covering Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in one and the same

sitting Aptitude Test conducted by Horizon OR 5 Passes in GCE Ordinary Level

Examination (Sri Lanka/London or equivalent) including Credit Passes for Mathematics

and English PLUS Passing of Horizon Bridging course.

• The results required for the acceptance into the HND progrmme will be decided upon by

Horizon Campus in keeping with TVEC guidelines

• Faculty of Engineering: Civil Engineering, Mechatronics (BSc Eng Hons) • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT)

Bachelor Programs Offered @ Siam University

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (BEng CE) • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT)

Master Programs Offered @ AIT:

• Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Management (CEIM) • Geotechnical and Earth Resources Engineering (GTE) • Structural Engineering (STE) • Transportation Engineering (TRE) • Water Engineering and Management (WEM) • Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management (DPMM) • Computer Science (CS) • Data Science and AI (DSAI) • Information Management IM) • Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (RSGIS) • Telecommunications (TC) • Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) • IoT (Internet of Things) Systems Engineering (IoT)

Requirements for Masters’s Admissions:

• English Requirement: AIT English Test 6.0 | IELTS 6.0

AIT English Test score of 5.0 & 5.5 (conditional admission)

• Grade: Minimum CGPA of 2.75 on the scale of 4.0

• Recommended / endorsed by Horizon

• Transcripts / Grade Marks

Tuition Fees

• Horizon fee is SLR 250,000 per semester

• Total AIT Fee is THB 540,000 (normal fee is 848,000)

In the discretion of the respective AIT Programs and the Dean, the programs may offer

additional AIT Scholarship to students on a batch or case-by-case basis.
