King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL)

The establishment of the Nonthaburi Telecommunication Training Center

on August 24, 1960 with academic cooperation from the Government of

Japan, marked the origination of KMITL. The training center became the

Nonthaburi Institute of Telecommunications under the Columbo Plan,

later in 1964. 

As specified by the 1971 King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Act, KMITL

was originated by an amalgamation of three technical colleges:

Nonthaburi Institute of Telecommunications, North Bangkok Technical

College and Thonburi Technical College.  In the same year, the Nonthaburi

Institute of Telecommunications, or known as King Mongkut's Institute of

Technology at Nonthaburi Campus, was relocated to the district of

Ladkrabang in Bangkok.

The new campus was called ''Chao Khun Taharn Ladkrabang Campus''.

The Nonthaburi Institute of Telecommunications became the Faculty of

Engineering in 1972. In the same year, the College of Design and

Construction located at the Bangplad district was transformed into the

Faculty of Architecture, affiliated with KMITL.

AIT signs agreement with KMITL to offer iNTERNATIONAL Unified Bachelor’S & Master’S Degree Programs King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) signed a general MoU and a specific MoA for International Unified Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree Program.  The MoU and the MoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, (Acting) President of KMITL  and AIT President Dr. Eden Y Woon on 31 January 2020 @ KMITL campus. click to continue reading..…
Requirements for Bachelor’s Admissions: Admissions to Bachelor’s programs are based on the standard competitive admission criteria set by KMITL. The applicant must satisfy at least one of the following requirements: o Graduated or studying in Grade 12 (Matthayom 6) or equivalent o Graduated or studying in the final year of grade 12 or grade 13 at an accredited college or higher-education institutions in Thailand or aboard o Obtained or expected to receive in qualification equivalent to Matthayom 6 as approved by the Ministry of Education before the start of Academic Year 2020. The applicant must provide an official final transcript and their official high school diplomas and or certificates of completion from their school before the start of Academic Year 2020. Requirements for Masters’s Admissions: English Requirement: AIT English Test 6.0 | IELTS 6.0 o AIT English Test score of 5.0 & 5.5 (conditional admission) Grade: Minimum CGPA of 2.75 on the scale of 4.0 or Grade B or 65% Recommended / endorsed by KMITL. Tuition Fees KMITL Bachelor Fee is THB90,000 per semester for most of the programs. Total AIT Fee is THB 585,000 (normal fee is 848,000) including bachelor capstone project conducted  in AIT. King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL)
